If anyone has missed to book the exam or were not able to get a slot I am so sorry. Please see this video which may help you next time.

    1. You must have a very good internet speed.

    2-High enough internet speed preferably 100 mbps+.

3-Login to E-GDC website 10mins before not 15mins you will be logged out and no multiple logins.

4-Click one second before it hits exactly 14:30:00, meaning at exactly 14:29:59 you click the refresh button, because that’s how long it takes for the page to refresh for the “book” link to appear.

5- Click book once, no need to refresh every minute or any of that stuff, click on book and make the payment ASAP. If the payment is declined you usually have 15 mins to pay it.

    🙂

Hello Arsalan, Thanks for the video upload. Could you please help me as I have failed to book the exam 3 times now. Will the laptop also make a difference? As I have been using an old laptop and I am thinking that the ASUS notebook processor speed might be very slow and also what internet speed were u using when u booked the exam in the video.

    Thanks,

I am sorry to hear this. I hope the video I have uploaded in this post giving tips and tricks of Booking the exam will help you next time.

What I have explained is that if you log in 10mins before the exam and make sure that you always have an active session with the webserver by constant refreshing every 10 – 15 seconds. The last refresh should be at least 5 secs before 2:30 pm keeping an eye on the second clock. This will really help you to make sure you have the most up-to-date active session which will help to register your request with GDC’s webserver even faster.

Now there could be other factors which can affect the progress which includes internet speed and your computer’s speed. Try to use a fiber connection I was using BT Business Fiber at work with my speed being 35mbps (which is low than my home’s virgin fiber which is 100mbps but my wife prefers me to do it :p) Also your laptops and browser’s speed since your machine is something which will send the request via your web-browser to the GDC’s webserver.

Now, you don’t need to buy high-end machines you can borrow for a day and not very high internet speed but should be decent. Internet should be at least 30mpbs and laptop should be like at least i5 core 8 GB ram etc making sure no other programs are running at that time. I was using Apple MacBook Pro specs: core i7 16GB ram.

I hope this all helps 🙂 Thanks

Dear Tina, As explained above the internet I was using was 35mpbs not even 100mpbs. So your 100mbps will be absolutely fine. Also, any laptop which is generally not very slow and doesn’t have any processes running in the background should be fine. Just the trick I have used 3 times and booked every time is constant refreshing to keep an active session. Thanks

Hi Abdul, You can use the mobile but it won’t be something i’ll suggest. Since you need to be fast in clicking that button and your device should really process this very fast for you. With the high-end mobiles nowadays, you might get away but maybe an older phone could be a problem. Best of Luck. Do share your experience on the forum if you went with the mobile. Thanks

Hi Nawar, I was using BT Bfiber at 35mbps which is not too high. So internet speed won’t matter alot. Usually, the ping is around 34ms at my work. Thanks

    Hello Tashfeen and Arsalan,

Thanks for the posts and replying to me. Supposedly a Single seat for ORE Part-1 has become available and booking will open soon. Thanks for the elaborate description of the laptop and speed that you used, could you also tell me that did you use a mouse or the touch pad.

If possible let me know if I can call you.

Just got a lot of apprehensions, that’s why.

Your prompt response will be highly appreciated.

    Thanks and regards

      Dear Vijay,

      I used the mouse touchpad.

The best option is if you use the refresh text to click on it an refresh, not the refresh button on the top of the browser. This means you don’t have to navigate and move the mouse alot.

As said in the video, as soon as I clicked the refresh I moved my mouse a little left so I can land in the centre of the button to click it right away as soon as it becomes available. (This is from my past experience, I know the button appears a little left to the refresh text).

Hope this helps, Best of Luck!
