TIPS NOT TO FORGET:

1.Please read all guidance notes clearly and properly as they are very important if you miss even 1 document they will reject your application.

2.For professional references,your referee has to fill the form by “TYPING IT” and you have to get its print and get it signed by referee with a black or blue ballpoint and get it stamped.Your referee can be academic professor.your employer etc.I submitted 3 references.

3.You have to submit a duplicate set of everything,donot miss anything.

4.If you have done ORE 1 and MFDS attach syllabus of both ,along with their results to make application strong.

5.Certificate of Good standing has to be very recent.

6.For English language requirement,either attach an English proficiency certificate from your university if you have recently done your degree,IELTS result(I am not sure about bands),or English requirement form which is there on GDC website.It has be be filled by your university.

7.CPD certificates:Download their certificates from the websites from where you have done them and print them.

Hi Tashfeen, thank you so much for sharing this information with us! 

Could you please tell, if I want to register as a hygienist and therapist, do I have to send separate documents for each application ( for example 2 Good standing certificates, 2 syllabuses etc and their copies ) or 1 pack of these docs plus 2 different learning outcomes(for a hygienist and a therapist) are enough?

And does my clinical skills referee have to stamp the reference? IS it obligatory?

Hi Ana

See if you want to apply for both then I will suggest to go for 1 of them first For example apply for therapist send everything and wait for assessment answer because GDC has assessment fees now which is around 599 or 600 pounds not sure ,then If you got approval then well and good,otherwise you can send again for other route with a different learning outcome form.

And yes clinical referee has to sign and stamp.Just play save as you don’t want GDC to send your application back because of any minor mistake.

If any one  in this group done the  intership -please can you give me advise! I am confused now who should be my clinical referee though – I ve finished the intership year in my country before I moved to the UK. 1- Does this accounts as a post graduate experience? So my referee can be a dentist who I worked with ( in my case my trainer-dentist who was helping me etc. )  2- Or does this mean I have asked university (dean) to sign the clinical reference form?

For internship ur colg Dean has to sign and stamp as a referee..have u submitted it application..from which country hav u completed ur internship

I done it in Russia,I applied once for ORE but they sent my docs back because a few small problems but they were happy in this application with my internship clinical experience which was signed by my employer not the Dean. I have contacted GDC again after that to check and they said that Dean should sign and stamp only an undergraduate work experience and they checked my rejected application and confirmed that my clinical reference was ok in it…. I still was confused as saw a few people posted on FB that Dean should sign internship, but now I think it could depends on many factors: from in what country you graduated , different internship systems( ?) etc (I was graduated with BDS equivalent degree before my internship )

Hi, you say the referee must type the form to fill but there is no typing space unlike learning outcomes form?

Hi Nadiye

I myself download the form and open in adobe reader and then fill it there but before I asked my referee what he want me to write so I typed it myself and take its print out and ask my referee to sign and stamp it.
